The North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors continues to re-invent itself in agile and innovative ways to address the challenges of an ever-changing market and the evolving needs of today’s real estate professional. NSBAR represents nearly 4,000 residential and commercial Realtors serving the communities of Chicagoland’s North Shore and northwest suburbs.
Focused on delivering robust resources and opportunities for growth one member at a time, NSBAR offers bold leadership committed to member and community outreach through its in-person and digital programming, to remain fresh and relevant to its members.
The recently reopened NSBAR Campus in Northbrook exemplifies the organization’s approach to examine every aspect of its operations to reveal opportunities for continuous improvement of both its processes and service offerings.
“NSBAR’s board of directors invested in a visionary design that radically reimagined the association’s headquarters — without a member dues increase or special assessment — to accommodate the needs of the emerging real estate professional,” CEO Jeff Lasky says. “Our welcoming new configuration invites members to linger in a comfortable, business-conducive environment, with member-dedicated space in the new floorplan increasing from 50% to 75% overall. Upgrades include a state-of-the-art TechBar, comfortable business center and in-house multi-media production facility empowering NSBAR to communicate with its membership more effectively.”
This fall will see another sea-change as the board presidency officially passes from Steve Hudson to Kati Spaniak, at a mid-September installation at Ravinia Festival.
Hudson has been involved with real estate since 1981, from brokerage and finance to renovation and development. In 2001, he and his wife, Joanne, formed The Hudson Company — which in 2018 became part of Compass.
Spaniak — founder and team leader of eXp’s “Spaniak Team” — brings over a decade of top-producing sales experience to her new role. Prior to entering the real estate field, she created and successfully ran a graphic design marketing firm in Chicago.
During her upcoming tenure, Spaniak is committed to heightening NSBAR’s focus on individual agents’ business development, and fostering greater professional and interpersonal connections, communication, and collaboration among the brokerage community.
