Try to keep up with Johnny Phan. It’s not easy. He and his team stand ready to show their listings at a moment’s notice. They understand that acting and adapting quickly are essential in real estate. For six years, he’s used his expertise to assist his diverse clientele with condos, single-family homes and multifamily properties.
Phan’s business is booming. In 2020, he recorded 46 percent growth in volume. That increased to nearly 50 percent in 2021. The Chicago Association of Realtors recognized him with their Top Producer award in 2020 and 2021. He’s also a member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America.
To prepare his clients, Phan gathers as much information as possible, then sets expectations. He also takes a straightforward, professional approach to business. “I don’t make promises I can’t keep.” he says. “I give them all the facts and information they need to make an informed decision. I always tell clients to go and look at all the bells and whistles in the home, while I go look for issues or defects in the home.” Clients praise his punctuality, wise advice, patience and diligence. He also goes the extra mile to anticipate his clients’ needs and ensure that transactions go smoothly
Phan believes his experience is crucial when determining a property’s market value and assessing the condition of a property. His psychology major also helps him read buyers and sellers during negotiations and influences his strategy with them. Ultimately, treating clients well is instrumental to his success. “I take time to listen to my clients, care for their well-being … put myself in their shoes,” he says. “I want my clients to be completely comfortable with me and trust me fully, know they can count on me. And they become clients for life.”
In his free time, Phan enjoys camping, fishing, cooking, martial arts, and, most of all, spending time with his wife and daughter.
