Three different professionals with unique experiences and qualifications come together to form the Cory Tanzer Group at Option Realty Group. A broker for seven years, Cory Tanzer started his career in retail and is now founder and team leader. Serena Phillips, listing specialist, comes from the media and marketing worlds, and Drew Stoffer, listing specialist, has experience in sales. “All of us have different backgrounds, but when mixed together, we provide a great client-first approach,” Tanzer explains. “We are known for our ability to truly listen to our clients and use that information to help them achieve their goals.” 

Focusing on first-time buyers and sellers who are looking to move to a townhouse or single-family home, Tanzer handles the West Loop, Chicago Loop and University Village areas, while Phillips covers the South Loop, Hyde Park and Chicago Loop. Stoffer focuses on University Village, Pilsen and Bridgeport. Approximately 60% of their business is in condos, 30% is townhomes and 10% is single-families. 

Awarded the silver level for units and volume from Chicago Association of REALTORS®, the team sold the most units in the near West Side of Chicago for the second consecutive year in 2021. They also helped over 100 buyers and sellers in the University Village and South Loop areas, reaching $50 million in total sales between the three of them and $100 million for Option Realty Group. 

Known as the mayor of University Village, Tanzer has a reputation of being the “go-to person” in the area, which brings widespread recognition to the entire team as well. “We have great relationships in the industry,” they say. “We are able to help our clients in this tight inventory market find the property, often before it hits the market.” Tanzer believes in giving back to the community and supports various nonprofit organizations., and the team donates a percentage of their commissions to the Grand Kids Foundation.
