Margaret Ludemann, Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

A serious baseball fan like Margaret Ludemann is able to compare real estate to how baseball scouts look for a five-tool player: they can hit, hit for power, run fast, field the ball expertly and throw accurately with speed. Ludemann points out that most professional baseball players have three of these tools, and some have four, but few have all five. “I believe there are five-tool Realtors, too,” she explains, adding that they need marketing expertise, exceptional personal sales skills, the ability to research and understand markets, detailed knowledge of the transaction process and exceptionally strong work ethics. “I believe my education, business experience and real estate expertise make me a five-tool Realtor!” she proclaims. She also was married on the steps of baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

Following 20 years in the business world, Ludemann has now been in real estate for 15 years and is currently a broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. Selling residential properties, she focuses her practice on Glenview and other North Shore communities, with a special focus on The Glen. “I learned the market characteristics of the area I serve by being a longtime local homeowner and conducting extensive research,” she shares. “I am by nature very curious and entrepreneurial, finding the dynamics of real estate markets endlessly fascinating.”

An active member of the League of Women Voters and Braver Angels, Ludemann also belongs to the National Association of Realtors and the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors (NSBAR). She earned her Accredited Staging Professional designation in 2008 and became a Certified Negotiation Specialist in 2014. She received the Road to Rolex award from @properties in 2021 and the Rookie of the Year designation from NSBAR in 2010. Coldwell Banker named her to its International President’s Elite Club and its International Diamond Society from 2010 to 2020, and as a global properties specialist from 2015 to 2020.

A supporter of the Team Jack Foundation and Hands of Peace, Ludemann sings in her church choir and serves on numerous committees. Placing family as her top priority, she enjoys reading and traveling.
