Twenty years ago, Nancy McAdam earned a real estate license to help her church find a new building. “Once I had my license, friends and colleagues asked me to help them with their real estate transactions, so my business grew from there,” she says.
McAdam, vice president of sales for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, assists buyers, sellers and investors in the city and on the North Shore.
With insightful market knowledge of Chicago’s neighborhoods and suburbs, she has helped buyers and sellers find the properties that fit their needs and embody their real estate dreams. It helps that she has lived in the Lincoln Park, Gold Coast and Old Town areas over the past 36 years and has worked in the Millennium Park/Loop and Lakeshore East areas for more than a decade.
Named a top-producing Realtor by the Chicago Association of Realtors and her brokerage, McAdam’s professionalism, market knowledge and commitment to clients has helped her maintain that status the past 10 years.
“I try to make the process stress-free, fun and enjoyable for my clients,” she says.
Prior to joining the real estate industry two decades ago, McAdam worked in management consulting, a career that she says has helped in her role as a broker. “My background taught me the benefit of drawing on my company’s and other people’s expertise to produce the best strategy and product for my clients,” she says.
She begins each client relationship with a consultation to find out, in as much detail as possible, their goals and desires for their home sale or purchase. Then she shares an overview of the market, so they know what to expect. From there, she does her best to meet their goals and objectives.
Fond of world travel, she has visited 39 nations so far and hopes to add a few more to her list soon.
