When buyers and sellers work with Yolanda Jeffries, they get a passionate Realtor who helps them find their forever home and use real estate to build long-term wealth.
A team leader with Baird & Warner, Jeffries had more than 15 years of experience as a financial analyst before she switched careers. “Real estate is a numbers game,” she declares. “By looking at the market statistics, I can come up with the win-win number for buyers and sellers.”
Jeffries entered real estate by default. When the housing market crashed in 2008, she tried leasing her “underwater asset” and worked with agents to short-sale the property but had no luck. “Being the boss lady that I am, I took matters into my own hands and decided to get licensed just to sell my home,” she recalls. “I registered for the class and passed the exam within 30 minutes on my first try.”
She realized that short sales were a common problem and resolved to help other homeowners solve their property ownership issues. She’s been “Chasing Deals in Heels” and successfully guiding clients from “Showings to Closings” ever since.
Jeffries is a 2020 Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) Top Producer, a 2020 CAR Individual Top Producer and a recipient of the Growth Award for New Membership by the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. organization’s Central Region chapter. She has been featured on the cover of the Chicago Agent Magazine for July 2021, and she is a finalist for the Illinois Real Estate Journal Broker of the Year 2021 award. She holds an MBA and strong commercial finance background.
“My ability to connect, establish relationships, build rapport and effectively negotiate a deal to the closing table is instrumental to my success as a top-producing Realtor,” she says. “I want my clients to know they are working with a trusted professional who will get the deal done for them.”
Recently, Jeffries started building a new team that has been closing deals and leasing properties right out of the gate. She also hosts a popular Money Talk First Friday’s networking event at an upscale venue on the first Friday of every month that attracts investors, buyers and influencers as a part of her real estate investment club.
