Daniel Chookaszian, senior home lending advisor at JPMorgan Private Client, got his start 20 years ago by helping his best friend open a mortgage company in Chicago’s River West neighborhood. At the time, much of his lending was in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Today, he lends across all 50 states while working out of the downtown Wilmette branch. He enjoys serving clients as they sell their homes, buy new homes and purchase out-of-state properties.
“Clients trust me and get to work directly with me,” Chookaszian explains. “My team supports the process, but clients know that they can always reach me — and they love that availability from start to finish.” He partners with private client advisors and bankers at his branch to provide a full-service experience.
Currently, Chookaszian is excited about JPMorgan’s jumbo lending options and the relationship rate discounts available to clients who transfer new assets to JPMorgan. “The ability to offer clients meaningful savings on their mortgage when they consolidate assets with us is a real differentiator,” he shares. “It’s a conversation every client should be having.”
Part of a close-knit team that has worked countless hours together, Chookaszian is grateful for the many clients he has served — 135 of whom have left five-star reviews on Zillow. This spring, he received the National Achiever award from JPMorgan for his work as a loan officer in the Midwest. Even so, as he explains, “Success is rented, and the rent is due every day. We can never rest on past success. Instead, we need to look ahead and continue adding value to every client, business partner and team member every single day.”
