2026 Who's Who in Chicagoland Real Estate

Carla Walker, Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

Carla Walker’s love affair with real estate began when a favorite retail client recognized Walker’s natural talent, setting up a meeting with a managing broker that launched a 28-year career. Before entering the housing market in 1998, she managed retail operations on Michigan Avenue for iconic brands like Saks Fifth Avenue, I Magnin, Bonwit Teller and Bloomingdale’s. This background sharpened her instincts for luxury service and high-end presentation, skills that seamlessly translate to her work today with buyers, sellers and investors across Chicago neighborhoods from the Gold Coast to Wicker Park.

Walker works with luxury buyers and sellers, first-time buyers, investors and relocation clients. She holds a managing broker’s license, a Graduate, Realtor Institute designation, and is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Seller Representative Specialist. She specializes in home staging to ensure quicker sales for her listings, building a business fueled primarily by repeat clients and cross-country broker referrals.

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate recognized Walker with its Visionary Award in 2022 and its Impact Award in 2023, 2024 and 2025. She was featured in Top Agent Magazine in 2021 and has appeared in Who’s Who most years since 2020. Earlier in her career she earned top producer recognition at Koenig & Strey, Prudential Rubloff and Berkshire Hathaway, and was featured in a 2017 Crain’s Chicago Business story on the Gold Coast luxury market.

Walker has served on the board of the House of the Good Shepherd for more than 30 years and has been active with the Gold Coast Neighbors Association for over a decade, serving in executive leadership roles with both organizations. She golfs, travels and stays close to her family and the Gold Coast community she has called home for most of her life.
