Ali Wenzke is a Compass real estate broker specializing in relocation, first-time buyers and luxury homes in Chicago’s North Shore. A longtime Wilmette resident, she and her husband raised their three children in the community she now proudly helps others call home.
Before settling in Wilmette over 15 years ago, Wenzke moved 10 times in 11 years across multiple states, which shaped her understanding of how emotional and overwhelming moving can be. Such experiences inspired both her real estate career and her bestselling book, “The Art of Happy Moving: How to Declutter, Pack, and Start Over While Maintaining Your Sanity and Finding Happiness.” Her expertise on moving and organization has been featured in national media outlets, including “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” The Washington Post, Forbes and NPR.
A graduate of Harvard College and Stanford Law School, Wenzke takes a strategic yet personal approach to real estate. Clients appreciate her calm guidance, strong communication skills and ability to make even complex transactions feel manageable.
Known for her deep community involvement, Wenzke hosts a weekly local video series called “Welcome to Wilmette.” She interviews local business owners and nonprofit leaders while highlighting the people and places that make the North Shore unique. Her strong local knowledge, combined with her highly visible digital and social media presence, has made her a trusted resource for both longtime residents and families relocating to the area.
A Five Star Professional award winner for five consecutive years, Wenzke previously ranked among the top 10 rookie agents by sales volume through the North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS®. In 2025, she was nominated for Chicago Agent’s Social Media Influencer of the Year award.
Outside of real estate, Wenzke loves reading, exploring local businesses with her family and spending time outdoors along Lake Michigan.
