Stella Talaga’s decision to enter real estate was shaped by overcoming her own challenging experience. At the time, lack of transparency resulted in Talaga’s paying full asking price for land that had sat on the market for several years. Having missed the opportunity to negotiate resulted in a severe financial strain for Talaga’s family. Inspired by this experience, Talaga used her business degree and negotiation skills to launch a real estate career.
Licensed since 2011, Talaga works across the northwestern suburbs, serving buyers and sellers throughout Cook and Lake counties in communities including Arlington Heights, Palatine, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Buffalo Grove, Barrington, Lake Zurich and Mount Prospect. Her diverse portfolio spans single-family homes, luxury estates, condos, land and new construction. Most importantly, while her portfolio varies, Talaga’s primary objective remains client protection.
Prioritizing her clients’ best interests, she brings a trusted advisor’s perspective to her work as a broker, helping navigate transactions efficiently and confidently. During initial walk-throughs she immediately points out deferred maintenance, structural problems and future resale red flags so that clients avoid spending money on unnecessary inspections. Cultivating strong relationships with clients, Talaga finds that most of her business comes by referral or repeat customers who have built equity on decisions she helped shape.
Talaga speaks Polish, an asset to those clients for whom this is their native language. She has earned multiple Impact Awards from @properties Christie’s International Real Estate and a Best of Zillow recognition.
Her personal values stem from her upbringing as one of seven siblings. Her resourcefulness is inspired by her mother, who always broke bread and shared with those neighbors who were less fortunate. Today, Talaga volunteers with her local church and Polish community groups, spending her free time traveling, working on home design and remaining close with her extended family.
