Jan Kupiec is a seasoned Realtor with 23 years of experience selling real estate in the Chicagoland area. Kupiec began her career as a real estate paralegal at a large downtown Chicago law firm. As part of her paralegal and legal administration studies, she obtained her real estate license, which gave her a thorough understanding of the practice of real estate. She later helped open and build a very successful, large real estate law firm in downtown Chicago.

These opportunities gave her a unique perspective on the legal aspects of real estate. Eventually, she left the firm to focus on her own real estate career and has applied her extensive experience to optimize the selling and buying process for her own clients ever since.

Kupiec is a Realtor with Baird & Warner’s Edgebrook office. She deals with everyone from sellers, first-time and move-up buyers to relocation clients, specializing in single-family homes, condominiums and multi-unit properties.

She ensures that her clients are equipped with the information needed to locate their dream home or generate the most competitive listing possible. She is especially skilled at handling negotiations due to her comprehensive knowledge of marketplace activity. She has been quoted in Crain’s Chicago Business for her insight on the local real estate market. She was also featured in a Top Agent Magazine cover story and has been listed in Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who in Real Estate for the last several years. Kupiec’s clients appreciate her friendly demeanor, honesty and ability to accommodate their individual schedules. “I become friends with all of my clients while we are working together and remain friends with most after closing,” she says.

Outside of work, Kupiec is a board member of the Edgebrook Community Association and is a member of the Edgebrook Sauganash Chamber of Commerce and the Edgebrook Woman’s Club. In her free time, she enjoys Zumba, networking and walking her rescue dog, Angel, in the neighborhood.
