Sarah Leonard, Broker

Legacy Properties, a Sarah Leonard Company

A respected leader in Illinois real estate, Sarah Leonard has built a 20-year career defined by hard work, passion and a commitment to continual growth. Leonard’s real estate journey began at just 15, when she stepped into the business as a receptionist for a real estate team. By 18, she was gaining hands-on experience as a loan processor, and on her 21st birthday, she earned her real estate license. Since then, she been dedicated to serving clients and building a business grounded in trust and results.

A lifelong resident of the Chicagoland suburbs, Leonard pairs her deep local knowledge with a passion for helping clients navigate one of life’s most important decisions. Her client-first philosophy has shaped both her personal approach and her team’s culture, and she is known for her thoughtful guidance, clear communication and calm presence.

Now entering its third year, Legacy Properties, a Sarah Leonard Company, is an independent brokerage committed not only to producing results but also to elevating the client experience and empowering its agents. The team has earned industry recognition, including a top 1% ranking for volume by the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors and national placement on the Wall Street Journal’s RealTrends Top 1% List.

This year, Leonard launched Legacy Property Management, offering clients a full-service, one-stop resource for every stage of property ownership, a milestone she says was made possible by the trust of her clients and dedication of her team. As her business grows, Leonard remains focused on mentoring agents, fostering a collaborative culture and evolving to meet the changing needs of clients and the market.

Beyond the world of real estate, Leonard treasures creating memories with her son, and she actively supports local charities and community initiatives. Whether traveling, staying active or catching a live show, she believes in living with purpose and gratitude.
