Introduced to real estate by his mother-in-law, Roger Erikson quickly learned that success in the business is built on trust, authenticity and the ability to navigate complex deals with confidence. A biomechanical engineer by training, he transitioned from designing systems for Harley-Davidson and Caterpillar to leading The McKay Group at Coldwell Banker Realty. He was drawn by the promise of more flexibility, more face time with people and the ability to help others make life-changing moves.
Based in the Fox Valley, Erikson specializes in luxury single-family estate properties across St. Charles, Geneva, Wayne, Batavia and Elburn. Known for his calm demeanor, straightforward communication style and tireless work ethic, he is often praised for being highly responsive and proactive, especially when it comes to connecting clients with the right contractors, managing inspection hurdles or prepping homes for the real estate market. Clients consistently say that he takes the stress out of transactions by outlining what to expect and preparing them for every step of the buying or selling process.
In the past year alone, Erikson has closed more than 10 $1 million transactions, including two sales above $2 million. He also listed his first property valued at over $5 million. He attributes his success to being adaptable and solution-oriented, utilizing strong negotiation tactics and quickly building rapport. Leading a team has not only created balance in his life but has also allowed him to mentor others as they grow their businesses.
When he’s not helping clients or guiding his team, Erikson volunteers as a Little League coach for his son’s Pee Wee Wasco team and enjoys time with his family in the community he proudly serves.
