A Polish immigrant who came to the U.S. at the age of 15, Renata Chrobak-Pyrek took a part-time job during college through which she was introduced to the world of mortgage lending. Graduating from St. Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, she followed her passion and opened her own mortgage broker shop, Northwestern Mortgage Company, at the age of 23. After 18 years of business, Northwestern merged with Fairway Independent Mortgage, where she has been for seven of her 25 years in the industry. Chrobak-Pyrek serves a key leadership role at one of the top-producing branches in Illinois.
“It’s not about the loans we do, but the lives we change. Clients feel loved, nurtured and educated. Many come with a denial from a previous lender, and we’ve helped their dream of homeownership become a reality,” she says of her team’s work. Serving all buyers throughout the Chicago area and many other states, she leads a team that offers a wide array of products for clients’ unique mortgage needs. Fun yet process-driven, Chrobak-Pyrek has cultivated a trusted team skilled in helping the community build generational wealth.
Her proudest accomplishment over the past year is having built a thriving team that allows her to focus on coaching loan officers and real estate agents. She’s a licensed Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) instructor who has had the opportunity to guide a rising top producer and create a successful 12-week coaching program. “My passion is to grow my team into the best version of themselves and build teams around them,” Chrobak-Pyrek shares. A well-rounded professional with many personal passions, she is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and the Yoga Alliance, a nonprofit professional organization for yoga teachers such as herself.
This loving mother of three is an avid runner and marathoner and is currently in the process of finishing the Jay Shetty life and business coaching certification. She also regularly participates in her branch’s quarterly charitable endeavors and looks forward to giving back to the industry by offering free coaching services to share her wealth of expertise.
