Xun Mei Del Sesto, Real Estate Professional

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

The rare combination of integrity, kindness, professionalism, talent and grace, Xun Mei Del Sesto stands out as one exceptional real estate agent. Del Sesto spent more than 20 years working as both a commercial agent serving Fortune 200 companies in Beijing and later the country manager representing prestigious European firms. When she and her family moved to Chicago in 2013, she immediately began volunteering, serving on the local school council and the board of Friends of Lincoln Park High School as well as in other capacities. One of her fellow volunteers, who happened to be a Realtor, recognized Del Sesto’s outstanding leadership skills and engaging personality and encouraged her to pursue her broker’s license.

“Real estate is one of those industries that, by helping your clients, you are impacting their lives,” Del Sesto says. “My goal is to promote Chicago property in the world marketplace and elevate its status as a global city. I have lived in five countries and traveled the world, am multicultural and multilingual, and am very experienced in buying, selling and renting homes.”

Del Sesto’s dedication to her clients is evident, and her enthusiasm is infectious. “I try to balance professionalism with creativity and empathy,” Del Sesto says. “I am extremely detail-oriented and hands-on during the process. I also take a genuine interest in others’ lives.”

The sole winner of the 2019 Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty’s prestigious Huzenis Award in the City Residential category, Del Sesto is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and several other professional networks.

On top of founding a social group as a platform for expats in the Lincoln Park community, Del Sesto single-handedly created the Lincoln International Festival for Lincoln Elementary School, now an established tradition. Always a caring individual, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Chicago, Del Sesto used her connections to source personal protective equipment from China and donated it to medical facilities on the South Side, fellow agents across the country and others in need.
