Susie Kanter, Suzy Thomas and Natalie Wellhausen have more than four decades of experience combined, and as the Susie Kanter Team with Dream Town Realty, they are well equipped to provide a full array of real estate services while helping their clients navigate a variety of complex transactions. Working with buyers, sellers, developers, investors and renters within Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, The Susie Kanter Team is goal-driven and focused on building and maintaining a client base by doing whatever it takes to ensure their satisfaction.
Prior to entering the real estate industry, Kanter was the vice president of lending at a Lincoln Park-based bank. Specializing in rehab and construction loans, she was able to make an easy transition into real estate sales following five years spent as the owner of a private mortgage business.
Before earning her license, Thomas climbed the ladder at IBM, starting as a systems engineer and progressing into the role of marketing manager and finally regional marketing manager. She then took a position as industry marketing manager at ARDIS, a joint venture between IBM and Motorola. Wellhausen, who is the newest member of the Susie Kanter Team, comes from a sales background and ultimately pursued real estate to fulfill a longtime dream.
Kanter and Thomas have ranked as Top Producers by the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) every year since 1997 and are both Accredited Buyer Representatives. In addition, Thomas completed the Green training program and was the recipient of the CAR Community Service Award in 2009, recognizing her for founding Real Estate to the Rescue of Homeless Animals. They are all members of the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce, North Center Chamber of Commerce and Ravenswood Manor Improvement Association, and supporters of Common Food Pantry and Real Estate to the Rescue.
Displaying 24-7 commitment to their clients, Kanter, Thomas and Wellhausen are known for their patience and tenacity, not to mention their thorough marketing efforts and quick transactions.
All three women strive to create a healthy balance between work and play and enjoy traveling, gardening, spending time outdoors and participating in social justice efforts.
