“Western Springs, La Grange, Hinsdale as well as all over the city… I go where my clients need me!” Tiffany Matela says. “I’m proud to say that almost every single buyer I’ve represented this year that has been in a multiple offer situation has won.” she exclaims.
In three years, Matela has made her mark. She was d’aprile properties’ Key Award Winner (2020), Silver Key Award Winner and Top Producer (both in 2021). However, something else matters even more to her. “I’d say it’s winning a key award in my first year, or being a top producer. But it’s not about that for me,” she emphasizes. “I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve been able to make. I have the BEST clients, I really do. I’ve been lucky in that my clients become my friends, and that is truly the best part of my job.”
Matela’s laid-back personality “helps my clients to not stress either,” she elaborates. “You have to be flexible… adjust and handle challenges… And you have to go at your client’s pace, put their needs at the forefront.” She strives to make transactions fun. “Buying and selling real estate can be emotional, intimidating, and nerve-racking! My job is to manage all of that and make the transaction as smooth as possible. And we have fun doing it!” Education and preparation are also crucial. “It’s up to me to make sure they understand the process every step of the way,” she explains. “We have to look at the market conditions and act accordingly.”
Connecting with people is Matela’s secret weapon. “At the heart of any transaction is the client’s ‘why,’” she shares. “When you know what’s driving the move emotionally…and what the most desirable outcome is for each unique client, you’re much better equipped to serve them.”
Matela loves playing tennis, traveling, and cooking. But best of all, “I’m a people person, and I get to spend my days doing something I love- what’s not fun about that?” she asks.
