A.R.E. Partners president and designated managing broker Antje Gehrken gets things done, and she’s got the track record to prove it. With 20 years in the industry, Gehrken started in real estate by buying, developing, managing and selling her own holdings, all of which contributed to her building a diverse and accomplished portfolio. She even developed the first condominium building in Chicago’s Veterans Park neighborhood.
“My personal experiences in real estate translate into the expertise I bring the brokers at A.R.E. and my clients in both commercial and residential real estate,” she says.
By drawing from her own experiences, she is able to meet people where they are, finding mutual connections along the way. Gehrken’s ears are always open, and she encourages everyone with whom she works to share their situations, so that together they can find the right path forward. It’s no wonder she gets so many repeat clients and referrals.
“I am dedicated to involvement and engagement,” she explains. “That’s why I’ll talk to every new person in a room or at an event, make introductions to other people, try to bring people up, get them involved, help them succeed.”
As she has found much personal success in her real estate career, she strongly believes in paying it forward. Gehrken is this year’s president-elect of the Chicago Association of Realtors and she’s already geared up to take over as president for the 2021-2022 term. She sits on committees for the Illinois Realtors and National Association of Realtors, as well as being a member of CREW Chicago and a mentor for the Goldie Initiative. She’s also a proud CCIM.
“I believe strongly in giving back to the industry that has done so much for me and my family,” Gehrken says.
Her style is authentically her own and remains the same both professionally and personally. Clients always know what to expect and where they stand with Gehrken — except maybe on the tennis court, where she can’t help but let her competitive side out.
