MRED Creating Private, Pre-Listing Network Within ConnectMLS

by Peter Thomas Ricci

Note: MRED has informed us that the Private Listing Network will not go live until April, and as a result, some of the characteristics we report below are subject to change; however, come April, we will report on the official launch of the PLN, and its features.

Midwest Real Estate Data is creating a private, pre-listing network within the connectMLS system, according to an announcement from the MLS that the Chicago Association of Realtors distributed.

The network, which is mobile-driven and designed for all mobile devices, allows agents to share “mini-drafts” of their listing information with other brokers before posting them in any public space.

“Listings will be viewed exclusively by participants of MRED’s MLS system and will not be included in IDX,” the MLS’ announcement read. “There will be no minimum or maximum period of time listings can be included in this system. They can be in for whatever amount of time chosen within the written listing agreement.”

The mini-drafts will require the following information:

  • Address
  • Property Type
  • Compensation
  • Showings Y/N
  • Listing Expiration Date
  • Listing Office/Agent

Meanwhile, although the following information can be included, it will not be required:

  • New Construction
  • Agent Remarks
  • Beds/Baths
  • Photos
  • Anticipated Activation Date
  • Showing Instructions
  • Price Range or Price
  • MLS Area Number

The announcement also clarified that MRED is implementing a policy requiring a listing to be in either the regular MLS database or the new private network, should it appear on any public-facing sites.

I have patented an invention for the Real Estate Industry, and Yes I am a Real Estate Pro with 30+ Year in the industry and withheld on bringing my patent to market until Technology price and cost is feasible for mass production, and now I am working on bringing it to market. I approached few MLS association and was turned down left and right, and now I do believe it is time to bring about national private MLS that will provide first and foremost consumers with access to open market, and second for true Real Estate Professional who is ethical to participate in co-brokering cross state lines, it is about time the Monopoly of Few Real Estate Brokers Control of Free Market, and my patented invention is and will in my view compete head to head with every MLS as well as compete with the Big Boys in Residential Real Estate Sponsoring Apprentice Scheme as well as compete in the so called 100% commission split sponsoring programs, as the saying goes about 90% of home buyers prospects first do online search and then drive around without contacting those hard working Real Estate Pro’s and my patented invention will do just that meaning my patented invention will know about those who drive by the listing and never call the listing agent. So I hope my comment will open the doors for you to call me and offer me your best exclusive market purchase contract, I am prospecting for market dealers and my price is not cheap.
