2026 Who's Who in Chicagoland Real Estate

Kim Kerbis, Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

Real estate agents can develop a reputation for a key characteristic or skill. Sometimes, this is their marketing ability, customer service skills, market knowledge or technological expertise. Kim Kerbis strives to excel in all categories. Her vision statement exemplifies the business approach she has fine-tuned over the last 29 years: “We provide good, old-fashioned, concierge-style customer service in a digital age and a modern world. We are hands-on yet incorporate new technology and social media in our marketing efforts. We pride ourselves on helping buyers and sellers make their best decisions in both calm and turbulent markets.”

Kerbis is particularly excited about a growing aspect of her business in recent years: managing renovation projects for her seller clients. “I am the designer, construction manager and project manager all in one,” she explains. “I choose whatever is needed: paint, carpet, lights, mirrors, faucets, hardware and window treatments. I manage the contractors as well as any subcontractors. Once the rehab is completed, I put my real estate agent hat on again and begin the marketing process. All updates are selected to increase salability and ROI.”

Since Kerbis works with both buyers and sellers, she ensures that all decisions for renovations are aligned with buyer and market considerations, consistently resulting in her sellers receiving multiple offers well above their listing prices. “My sellers are thrilled with the process and with the results,” she enthusiastically reports.

Kerbis plays tennis most mornings and can be found at Midtown or the Diversey clay courts by 7 a.m. She devotes significant time to serving the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and the Chicago Women in Architecture Foundation. She also gives back to the real estate profession by serving on the CAR and Illinois REALTORS® Professional Standards Committees and the CAR Forms and Contracts Committee.
