Five years into a career built on clarity and connection, Will Madden has made a name for himself in Chicago lending by treating a notoriously complex process as something his clients can understand.
As vice president of mortgage lending at OriginPoint, Madden credits his success to his ability to translate the technical into the tangible. He specializes in conventional, FHA, VA, self-employment, asset-based and bank statement loans, and his clients stem almost entirely from real estate agent referrals.
Madden’s approach is personal by design. Clients won’t be passed around a team or handed off mid-transaction. From the moment an offer is accepted, he guides borrowers through the underwriting process step by step, defining what’s ahead so nothing catches them off guard.
“Buying a home is such an important moment in someone’s life,” Madden explains. “I want to make it as simple as possible so that they always look back at the homebuying process in the best light possible.” Clients respond in kind, consistently citing his responsiveness, attention to detail and ability to keep even high-pressure transactions on schedule.
That track record produced impressive results last year. Madden earned OriginPoint’s President’s Club recognition after closing more than $30 million in loans, a significant milestone in his career. In addition, Chicago Agent magazine named him its 2025 Social Media Influencer of the Year, recognizing the digital presence he uses to educate and engage clients and referral partners.
Madden serves on the charity board of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate Gives Back and is active in Compass YP, a young professionals network. Earlier this year, he married his wife, Alma, in a ceremony at Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago.
