Real estate is about more than transactions for Troy Marr. “It’s about creating opportunities for people while helping property owners maximize the performance of their investments,” he says. “Whether I’m advising an owner, mentoring an agent or helping properties reach their full potential, my goal is to create lasting value long after a lease is signed.”
As director of portfolio performance at LeaseLab, Marr partners with multifamily property owners to maximize occupancy, increase revenue and enhance long-term asset value. His approach relies on targeted leasing, operational upgrades, resident retention strategies and modern marketing. Beyond leasing execution, he uncovers new revenue streams and implements value-add strategies to elevate overall portfolio performance.
Consistently recognized as one of Chicago’s top-producing rental professionals, Marr has assisted more than 7,000 clients and has been instrumental in the successful lease-up of 49 multifamily communities, including two of the largest condominium deconversion projects in the United States — the 392-unit 1400 North Lake Shore Drive redevelopment in Chicago’s Gold Coast and the 922-unit Courtyards in the Park redevelopment in Des Plaines. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside developers, ownership groups and property management companies, building a reputation for delivering results through market expertise, technology and forward-thinking solutions.
Marr is an accomplished artist whose work earned fifth Place in The People’s Artist, a national art competition founded by Johnny Depp. He is also the founder of My Best Life Chicago, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through creativity and collaboration. When he isn’t working with clients or creating art, he enjoys international travel, exploring new cultures and spending time with his family.
