Born in Chicago, Monica Canellis has spent most of her working career in the Chicagoland area, 22 of those in real estate. Her familiarity with the local Chicago markets and successfully leveraging her extensive network aid in her ability to help buyers and sellers with any transaction.
Her past experience in luxury retail sales and management helped her develop strong interpersonal skills and an ability to help identify and prioritize client goals. Assisting high-profile clientele helped her adapt quickly to understand their needs and always put their best interests first.
Canellis works with buyers and sellers throughout Chicagoland, focusing primarily on the South Loop and Gold Coast neighborhoods. A resident of Museum Park since 2006, she has sold more than $20 million in the South Loop alone. A testament to her expertise and knowledge of the neighborhood, one of her recent closings sold at 13% above asking price.
She credits her recent success to her transition to Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty in 2023. Working with a global brand and network of brokers is an invaluable benefit to her clients, who often describe their experience as “exceptional.” Last year, she made her firm’s list of Q1 Quarterly Best real estate advisors for her hard work and numerous successes.
Canellis is a longtime supporter of PAWS Chicago as well as the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation. She shares her home in Museum Park with her husband, NBC 5 Chicago sportscaster Lou Canellis, along with their daughter and rescue dog.
