Scott Ottenheimer crunches numbers, turns data into stories, and works well with clients and brokers, making the transaction process seamless for buyers, sellers and investors. A top producer at his office, Ottenheimer is the licensed managing broker of the Ottenheimer Group at Baird & Warner and recently saved a client from bankruptcy by selling his three-flat.
With student loans to pay off early in his career, Ottenheimer worked his way up the corporate ladder at a strategy and management consulting firm and a large insurance carrier. At the same time, he used the real estate license he earned as an undergraduate while working at a boutique brokerage firm, which quickly developed into a career.
“My renters turned into buyers, my buyers turned into sellers and referrals started coming in,” Ottenheimer says.
In 2023, he left corporate America and founded the Ottenheimer Group. With 12 years of industry experience behind him, Ottenheimer built a team of five agents, and his firm continues to grow. “I’m fortunate to have had many mentors along the way, both in real estate and in corporate America,” he says.
Ottenheimer grew up in Buffalo Grove, lived in Lakeview and Lincoln Park, and now resides in Northbrook with his wife and two daughters. He learned about Chicago and the North Shore territories by studying them online, driving around and attending local events.
An exceptional real estate professional, Ottenheimer has market expertise, strong negotiation skills and a data-driven approach that achieves outstanding results. He sells homes quickly and at top dollar, often securing multiple offers. Buyers value his patience, honesty and willingness to preview properties on their behalf. They also appreciate Ottenheimer’s experience navigating competitive bidding situations and his network of trusted professionals.
By prioritizing long-term relationships over short-term gains, Ottenheimer ensures clients make informed and confident decisions.
