
After several years as a successful leasing agent, Laura Lando seamlessly transitioned into residential sales in 2010. Two years later, she joined the LAKE Group as a founding member, and she is now a senior broker specializing in various city neighborhoods as well as the north and west suburbs. “When I got started in real estate, I loved the fast-paced environment and the daily interactions with new people,” Lando recalls. “I found that I really had a passion for helping people, and real estate was a natural fit.”
Described by clients as authentic, trustworthy and genuine, with a solid work ethic, Lando strives to make each client feel confident in making one of the most significant financial decisions of their lifetime.
For Lando, the ability to connect with people and truly understand their needs is paramount to success. “You have to have good listening skills and good intuition in this business to be successful,” she says. “Clients want to be heard and understood, but they also need a voice of reason to keep them grounded through the inevitable stressful situations that can arise.”
Almost halfway through 2025, Lando has already surpassed her total 2024 sales volume. Her referral-based business is a testament to her experience, reputation among clients and rapport with fellow agents. “When you’ve been in the business for over 15 years, you build relationships with other brokers, which can be extremely helpful when trying to put a deal together in a competitive market” she shares.
Alongside the LAKE Group, Lando volunteers with local charities such as Cradles to Crayons and Nourishing Hope. Outside of work, the Illinois native enjoys staying active through tennis and pickleball and biking around the North Center neighborhood where she resides with her husband and two children.
