Tanya Hamilton, Real Estate Advisor

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

While working as a condominium property manager over a decade ago, Tanya Hamilton met Annie Alexander, a broker at Jameson Sotheby’s, who encouraged Hamilton to join her team. She took the plunge and found her background in property and rental management to be an asset when advising clients on condominium purchases, HOA considerations and rental investments. Since then, she has matched clients with homes throughout the city.

“I’ve lived and worked in Chicago’s neighborhoods for more than 25 years. This personal and professional experience gives me insight into the character, amenities and market trends of each community I serve,” Hamilton explains. One of her favorite compliments came from a client who said, “I love my new home. You knew my taste almost better than I did.” She has been called a “housing matchmaker,” which she says perfectly captures her approach to finding the right homes for clients.

Hamilton values her relationships with clients, recently representing a seller who purchased one of her listings almost 10 years ago. “Although I wasn’t their agent on the original purchase, they remembered the positive experience and chose to work with me when it was time to sell,” she shares. “That kind of trust and long-term connection is very meaningful to me.”

Hamilton holds designations with the National Association of Realtors, including Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource. These designations reflect her commitment to learning and her ability to support clients at every stage of their real estate journey.

Apart from real estate, Hamilton is a volunteer at Nourishing Hope, whose mission statement is “Food for today, hope for tomorrow.” She enjoys walking along the lakefront, exploring Chicago’s art and food scene and traveling with her husband and close friends.
