Motivated by personal experiences and a shared commitment to equity and empowerment, Joe Tyler Gerber and Louis Diaz founded The Gerber Diaz Group at Baird & Warner Highland Park to redefine what it means to serve buyers and sellers in Chicagoland. Gerber, a former special educator and community activist, brings a deeply personal understanding of housing’s impact on families. Diaz, a North Shore native and finance graduate, pursued real estate from childhood fascination to professional calling, driven by a desire to advocate for underrepresented communities.
The group blends sharp strategy with heart-led service. Tova Goldberg ensures seamless administrative execution across every transaction, while Lana Shapiro brings decades of insight as a developer of high-end homes. Josh Rodriguez leads rental operations with efficiency and care, while dual-state broker Michael Sidor spearheads the group’s expansion into Arizona and handles relocations with ease.
Known for delivering boutique-level attention at every price point, the team focuses on unique and luxury properties, co-ops, new construction and rentals across Chicago’s North and South sides, the North Shore and other suburbs. Nearly all business is referral-based, reflecting the team’s strong client relationships and clear, results-driven communication.
Accolades include RealTrends’ America’s Best Top 1.5% nationally from 2022 to 2024, and Top Producer honors from the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors and LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. Diaz and Gerber are active members of both organizations, with Gerber serving on multiple leadership committees and boards.
The Gerber Diaz Group operates with purpose and pride — fueled by inclusion, powered by community and grounded in the belief that home is more than just a place.
