Stacy Burgoon, Broker

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago

A calm demeanor and professional approach help Stacy Burgoon manage many simultaneous listings and guide clients seamlessly through the home-buying process. The Winnetka resident works with clients in her own neighborhood as well as throughout the North Shore, Chicago and southern Wisconsin areas.

Prior to becoming a broker at Berkshire Hathaway, Burgoon worked in corporate retail, which taught her many skills, such as negotiation and market analysis, that are invaluable in her current role. She was inspired to make a career switch to real estate after working with her brother on an investment property. “He is a contractor,” she says. “I was helping with the design decisions, and it felt like a natural next step to get my license.”

Burgoon always receives positive feedback from the families and individuals she works with. “My clients say that I’m responsive, professional and have great attention to detail. I go above and beyond to make sure that the buying and selling process is as seamless as possible, and that my clients are ultimately happy.”

She attributes much of her success to her ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and solve problems no matter the circumstances — traits that benefit her personal life as well. “I have four children. Being a mom who is constantly multitasking, I know how to get stuff done, and I don’t get flustered. I think I am uniquely skilled at problem-solving outside of the box and managing unexpected issues.” Despite the occasional drama, she says, “My kids are my proudest personal accomplishment. I am so proud of all of them, mainly for how kind they are.”

Burgoon serves as a member on the Auxiliary of the Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center and spends the rest of her limited free time playing tennis in several different leagues.
