Melissa Tannehill and Yassmin Koudmani

Tannehill Law LLC

Melissa Tannehill, Attorney

Yassmin Koudmani, Law Clerk

As the managing attorney, Melissa Tannehill leads a team of four at Tannehill Law LLC. A northwest side of Chicago native, she worked as a mortgage banker prior to and while attending law school. She’s an experienced professional who has weathered numerous real estate markets, economic situations and rate environments in her 18 years of experience in the industry, setting her expertise apart. Describing her work, she reflects, “Leading a team allows me to help others grow and teach others effective communication, processes and the importance of building a successful business.”

The team of women at Tannehill Law has a diverse range of experience and market knowledge. Their cultural diversity and knowledge of the Chicagoland area helps them meet the unique needs of their client base, and they form meaningful connections that lead to growing referrals and returning clientele. Leveraging technology during the pandemic allowed the team to pivot easily into new ways of working to facilitate their expansion. Tannehill’s biggest accomplishment over the past year has been growing the firm into additional practice areas while continuing to coach the team to success.

One outstanding team member is Yassmin Koudmani, who has worked with and received invaluable mentorship from Tannehill and the team over the past year. Well-traveled, Koudmani understands the unique offerings of rich and diverse markets. Being part of the team at Tannehill Law LLC has facilitated her competence such that she’s positioned to serve all clients in Chicago’s real estate sphere with excellence. “I understand the sensitive duty of a lawyer and the trust that clients have for us,” says Koudmani. “I will go above and beyond to ensure that each client request is handled with the utmost care and with due diligence.”

Tannehill enjoys decompressing by submerging herself in new cultures and locales through travel. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the Loyola University School of Law and was a former board member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Koudmani is an active supporter of groups that provide assistance to those affected by violence in Syria and the recent earthquake in the region. She enjoys Pilates and painting in her free time.
