Chase Bank lending advisor Robbine Kim still remembers issuing her first loan as a brand-new lender in 2009. “[It] was an experience I’ll never forget,” she shares. “But that loan taught me so much. The gratitude I received from that client, and because I was able to save her so much money a month with her refinance, is still engrained in my memory.”
Kim attributes her communication prowess and knack for forging genuine connections with clients to her years working as a server in restaurants. “My experience in the service industry has helped me perform in my current role immensely,” she says. “I’ve learned that I can only control what I can control, be attentive to my customers, communicate with clients every step of the way, discuss options and strategies that are working for other home buyers. Most importantly, [I] build a foundation of trust with the client.” Kim strives to be available to help her clients whenever they need her assistance, even if that means working outside of normal business hours.
Kim is a member of several organizations, including the Young Professionals Network, the Women’s Council of Realtors Chicago and the Asian Real Estate Association of America. She believes her biggest professional accomplishment of the past year was earning an invitation to the Chase Bank President’s Club and receiving that honor at the Chase Bank National Achievers Conference.
“I love my job,” Kim says. “It is stressful, exciting, fast-paced and highly rewarding. The enjoyment and happiness I get from ‘what I get to do for a living’ is to help families achieve their dreams of home ownership — and also to help them save money so that they could have a better quality of life.”
When she’s not busy helping her clients, Kim enjoys working out, hiking, golfing and spending time with her husband, Bob, and her feisty 6-year-old daughter.
