In only his fourth year as a Realtor, Jim Hankes won the coveted Chicago Association of Realtors 2022 Top Producer award for the McKinley Park neighborhood. Not bad for a neighborhood that has 99 active Realtors doing business there.
Hankes will follow where his clients and their referrals take him, but he specializes in the near South and Southwest sides of Chicago, along with the Western and Southern suburbs. Single-family homes, multi-unit investment buildings and vacant land listings are his specialties. During his time in the industry, he’s become adept at helping seniors sell their homes, working with estate trustees and finding amicable solutions to complex family situations. He has a team of specialists ready: clutter removal, auction, cleaning and staging services.
A broker at @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Hankes draws on his 31 years as a sales and marketing executive when listing properties. His analytical skills are superb, his pricing is precise, and most of his listings sell without any discounts or price reductions in under a week. In addition, Hankes is a Certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert and a Certified Pricing Strategy Advisor.
Driven mostly by referrals and repeat business, Hankes’ client base continues to grow. He is affectionately called “the Mayor of McKinley Park” by many in the community. “My family and I have been in McKinley Park and Bridgeport for over 100 years,” he says. “We have some very long and strong relationships in the area. Many family members have moved to the Garfield Ridge/Clearing neighborhoods of Chicago. My business in those areas has grown as well.”
Hankes can be seen many nights watching his favorite MLB team, the Chicago White Sox, from his front-row seats behind the Chicago White Sox dugout. Or look for him riding his unicycle around the many neighborhoods of Chicago.
