With a background in sales and financial services, Tamara VanKrevelen worked with real estate investors from all over the country. “One of the most important things I learned from being in sales is to be solutions-driven and find creative ways to solve difficult problems,” she explains. Starting each transaction with the end goal in mind, she believes in having a solid understanding of the reason “why” something is being done to better understand “what” is being done. “I make sure my clients understand the ‘why behind the what’ in every situation,” she says.

A real estate broker with Compass for three-and-a-half years, her team grew by 25 percent in 2021. “We are a very collaborative group,” she says. “We learn from each other’s experiences and work together to provide the highest level of service for our clients.” She believes in guiding and coaching clients during the process, so every decision is made from knowledge and empowerment. “I am always honest, transparent, and very ‘hands-on’ throughout the transaction,” she says. “I consider a big part of my role as being the glue that holds the deal together.”

A member of the National Association of Realtors and a 2022 Rising Star Real Estate Award winner, VanKrevelen also belongs to the Chicago Association of Realtors, which awarded her team the 2021 Top Producer award. They won the Bronze Top Producer award for volume and units sold in 2021, were named as Top 250 Chicago Real Producers and were listed in the Inaugural Class of Compass Chicago Legends Society. They were also awarded the 2022 Homesnap Top 5 Percent Agent award.

Praised for her diligence, attention to detail, work ethic and intuition, VanKrevelen’s dedication is obvious. “My clients feel the level of commitment I provide throughout each phase of the process,” she says. “My goal is to remove stress and create a fun, positive and uplifting experience.”

When not working, she loves horses, relaxing in nature and spending time with her family.
