With a contractor grandfather, a real-estate attorney father and an architect brother, Sarah O’Shea Muñoz, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, was immersed in the real-estate world from an early age. As Muñoz reflects, “Growing up, I was surrounded by family conversations about the housing industry, and I feel like it is part of my DNA.” She studied finance and then worked in investment sales for 10 years in Chicago. Muñoz has lived in both Oak Park and River Forest for over three decades, which has provided her firsthand knowledge of the local neighborhoods. After raising her now-adult daughters, Muñoz wanted to utilize her business skills to help people obtain the “American dream” of home ownership. She became a Realtor® in 2004 and has been selling property across the western suburbs since.
Muñoz is the “consummate professional,” according to one of her clients. She has an insatiable desire to help others achieve their housing goals, which propels her success. Muñoz helps many buyers and sellers upsize, downsize and transition to their next chapter. She uses new technology to streamline the transaction process for the consumer and adjusts to client needs by being flexible, knowing their communication preferences and managing expectations. “It is a privilege to earn clients’ trust negotiating complex deals and being their referral resource,” says Muñoz.
Muñoz is in the top 6% percent of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices national Realtor network and earned the BHHS 2020 President’s Circle award. She was also named a 2021 Notable Residential Real Estate Broker by Crain’s Chicago Business. Spending time with her family, mentoring high school girls, playing racket sports and swimming keep this River Forest resident busy in her spare time.
