Michelle Liffick, Broker Associate

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Before delving into real estate, Michelle Liffick was a litigation attorney. Casual, curious and fun on the outside, Liffick, a broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, will always remain a focused lawyer on the inside, particularly in the way she guides and educates clients. “I am always going to tell my clients the truth and look out for their best interests,” she says, “even if it’s awkward.”

Naturally creative, Liffick views touring a home as a chance to catch a glimpse inside the hearts and minds of its occupants. “You can tell if the owners are meticulous, tired, depressed or fastidious,” she says. “A home is a three-dimensional portrait.” A self-proclaimed housing nerd, she also believes a home is the background and setting for all that happens in someone’s life, and therefore, it should make them feel safe and happy.

Named a 2018 top producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors, Liffick has been in real estate for 15 years while still maintaining her membership in the Chicago Bar Association. She works with residential buyers and sellers in the city and suburbs, from small, first purchases to luxury properties. Liffick goes where clients go and learns a lot along the way. “I will help you sell your mother’s studio in Portage Park for $50,000 and then happily assist you with the purchase of a million-dollar townhome in the South Loop,” she says. “Luxury is a level of service, not a price point.”

Liffick also aims to make a client’s transitions easy. “No matter what their situation is, my clients are going through a lot of change and stress and have many things to think about,” she says. “I am there to ground them and keep us focused on the goal.”

In her free time, Liffick likes to garden, read books about housing, hike, bike and take care of feral cats.
