The lending process can be stressful, but Andrew Tisler prides himself on being able to smooth the way for homebuyers. As a senior home lending advisor with Chase, Tisler, who specializes in jumbo lending, brings 10 years of experience in real estate to his clients. He particularly enjoys working with first-time homebuyers. “When people come with problems, I find solutions,” he says. “When clients tell me of their difficult experiences in the past, I make it my mission to give them the best experience possible with me.”
Tisler grew up in the lending business, with parents who owned a real estate and mortgage company. As such, he had a close-up view of the challenges involved, but he also saw how exciting it was to help people purchase homes. When he meets with clients for the first time, rather than dive right into numbers, Tisler first learns as much as possible about their situations and answers questions. His easygoing approach makes them feel comfortable. “This isn’t the time to gather pay stubs and W-2s, but rather to make sure that they have a good general understanding of the homebuying process,” he says.
Chase named Tisler, who leads a three-person team at the company, the No. 1 home lending advisor nationally for five years in a row. Chicago Agent magazine readers voted him Loan Officer of the Year in 2019 — a record year for him in which he closed loans for more than 300 families, with over $140 million in funded volume. He is also a member and sponsor of the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network.
Tisler outlines options specifically for each client and lets them know what to expect. He values the number of repeat clients and referrals he sees, and works to earn and keep their trust. “It’s something I don’t take lightly,” he says. “I’m honored when clients appreciate my expertise and follow my advice after learning about their situation.”
