A real estate natural, Missy Jerfita leads a stellar group of agents that offers clients the treatment they deserve every step of the way. “Each of my team members is a specialist,” she says. “I focus on listings and getting top dollar for sellers through extensive internet marketing and networking as well as professional staging and photography.” Inversely, her buyer’s agents work tirelessly to gain access to the best houses on and off the market and to negotiate on their clients’ behalf.
In 2018, after 15 years in the real estate industry at the same company, Jerfita made the transition to Compass, embracing its forward-thinking mentality and technology. “I love creating something new and having a voice in the future of real estate,” she says, adding that access to Compass Coming Soon listings has been fundamental to marketing properties in advance of listing them on the MLS.
Lauded for her generosity and attention to detail, Jerfita strives to treat every client like family. “It’s our personal connection that sets us apart from other agents,” she says.
Before discovering her passion for real estate, Jerfita worked in corporate sales, marketing and acting. After a decade of appearing in television commercials, print ads and corporate videos, as well as an annual four-month stint representing Subaru at auto shows, Jerfita became a mother and swapped her inconsistent work schedule for a job she could count on. “To my surprise, real estate clicked right away, and I found myself extremely focused and driven to succeed,” she says.
As dedicated to her community as she is to her clients, Jerfita has served on the board of Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook, supporting programs such as counseling, crisis intervention and socialization. She also developed the Jerfita Team Key to Success Scholarship to benefit a graduating senior from Glenbrook South High School. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity; lends out her moving truck to clients, charities and churches to aid with charitable work such as food drives; and, along with her team, sponsors a needy family every holiday season.
Jerfita loves spending time at Lake Geneva with her family, boating, swimming and taking walks along the lakefront.
