Katz Drug Awareness Foundation Established in Highland Park

The family of the late Daniel Lee Katz, 25, has established a foundation to raise awareness about drug abuse and the disease of addiction through education and advertising, according to North Shore real estate developer David Katz.

Katz, president of Bernard Katz & Associates, a condominium development firm, said he and his wife, Gail, have established The Daniel Lee Katz Drug Awareness Foundation based in Highland Park.

In addition to raising awareness about drug abuse and the disease of addiction, the foundation’s goals are to provide support to parents on how to communicate with their children about drug abuse and addiction and create educational tools and programs to help parents, schools and communities identify and, where necessary, intervene with those at high-risk.

To make a charitable, tax-deductible donation to support this foundation, please make checks payable to: The Daniel Lee Katz Drug Awareness Foundation, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe, IL 60022. For more information, visit DanielLeeKatz.org.
