Weichert Realtors – Goodchild Homes will participate in the Willow Creek 5k Run for Shoes this year.

The office of clients of Weichert Realtors – Goodchild Homes has announced that the agency will participate in the Willow Creek 5K Run for Shoes, hosted by Celebration for Hope 2013, to support children in need.

Proceeds from the event registration fee will provide shoes for children in Africa and Latin America. Shoes will make walking easier for these children, protect them from parasites and other foot-borne diseases, and make them eligible to attend school.

Weichert Realtors – Goodchild Homes encourages others to attend as well. Open to anyone, the race on Saturday, April 20 begins at 9 a.m. at the Willow Creek Community Church, 67 East Algonquin Road in South Barrington. Check-in and registration are from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Walkers and strollers welcome. All race participants who register by Monday, April 15, will receive a free t-shirt. The awards ceremony and post-race party begin at 10:15 a.m.
