What was your first deal in the realty industry? It was a single-family home in my neighborhood, Graceland West, two decades ago
Where did you grow up? City of Chicago, Northside! Go Cubs!
What is your favorite free-time activity? Free time? In real estate you are always on. But I love to visit Warner Park in Graceland West on Warner – beautiful garden.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Take a walk around my beautiful neighborhood and watch the children play. It’s really what it is all about for me. Those little beautiful faces cheer me up.
If you weren’t a Realtor, what would you be? A home organizer
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Paul McCartney from the Beatles – I’ve been in love with him for 40 years
What is your favorite place to “hang out?” Deleece, a neighborhood hang out restaurant on Southport. They have a great lunch.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Selling homes for families divorcing and remembering how happy they were when they first purchased the homes
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? All my new clients are referrals from my past clients.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Being inducted into the “Luxe Home” Top 25 Luxury Home Brokers in Chicago by the Merchandise Mart. It was a humbling honor to be included with such amazing brokers.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Naked Truth” by Al Gore
What is your favorite restaurant? Tanoshii Sushi Mike’s on Clark Street in Andersonville, they have the best sushi in Chicago and it’s reasonably priced, too!
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? The Conrad Sulzer Home on the 4200 block of Greenview
BlackBerry, iPhone or Paper? I still believe in written “thank you” notes.
What is your favorite city after Chicago? Edinburgh, Scotland, I love the architecture and the people. My daughter went to graduate school there. I highly recommend visiting.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? It is all about relationship building.
