Brandon Loncar is the owner and managing broker at Loncar Realty, Hinsdale.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
Real estate was always in my family — my grandmother was a Realtor, and my grandfather was a builder. From a young age, I was fascinated by homes, architecture and the process of creating something lasting. I knew early on that I wanted to follow in their footsteps and build a career where I could blend my passion for real estate with helping people find their place to call home.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would have loved to meet Steve Jobs. His obsession with excellence and passion for minimalistic design really resonate with me. He had a way of making things simple yet powerful, and that same mindset inspires how I approach real estate, design and building every day.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love the relationships I build through this business. By the time a deal closes, my clients aren’t just clients; they’ve become friends. You help them achieve one of their biggest milestones in life, and being a part of that journey is what makes this career so rewarding.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Southern California. Perfect weather, healthy food options, great hiking and the ocean — doesn’t get much better than that!
What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
Pequod’s Pizza.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
“$100M Money Models.”
What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Put in the work, stay consistent and build real relationships.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
At Loncar Realty, we’re a boutique brokerage that covers every aspect in real estate. We do residential, commercial; I’m a licensed mortgage broker; we do brand-new construction, flips and gut renovations. We’re full-service that goes beyond the transaction. We know every inch of this business.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Take care of the customers you have, and they’ll take care of you. Loncar Realty thrives off word-of-mouth referrals. We’re grateful to our clients for always sharing our name.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment has been building Loncar Realty from the ground up into a boutique powerhouse that competes with the industry giants.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
I’d have to say the Waldorf Astoria. Its elegant, timeless design makes it a standout.
