Liz Brooks, vice president of sales and marketing of Belgravia Group and managing broker of Belgravia Realty, and Julie Busby, a broker with Belgravia Realty Group, help hold up a six-decades-old reputation of excellence. They work with a dynamic group of professionals who have propelled Belgravia to close over $69 million in sales in 2015.
Brooks specializes in developer sales and marketing. In 2008, she was named Sales Executive of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. In both 2014 and 2015 she was named among the Chicago Association of Realtors’ top 1 percent. She shares credit for her success with her team. “I work with a group of individuals who share a relentless commitment to excellence,” the 28-year veteran says. “I am inspired by my colleagues every day.”
Julie Busby launched her real estate career in 2001 with a nationally-ranked broker in La Jolla, Calif. Arriving in Chicago only four years ago, Busby quickly made it into both CAR’s top 1 percent and the $10-million club, which she reached within her rst year. By 2015, her sales had grown to over $20 million. Busby’s previous work as a top- producing broker in San Diego helped make her an “expert in contracts and negotiations” and a broker who epitomizes integrity, attention to detail and outstanding customer service with a focus on luxury properties.
For 14 years, Brooks worked for a national homebuilder, most recently serving as the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. In this role Liz learned to coach, mentor and train others to produce excellent results. Liz helped to develop and launch the company’s extensive sales certi cation program. The position groomed her to lead Belgravia’s realty business.
Brooks and Busby take a similar approach to client service. “I take tremendous pride in Belgravia’s relationships with our buyers and sellers,” Brooks says, and Busby adds, “Live by the golden rule: ‘Do unto others as you’d like done unto you.’” Brooks and Busby are proud to work with Belgravia Group, run by Buzz Ruttenberg and Alan Lev – leaders who have created a company culture from a simple motto: “Just do the right thing.”
When they’re not working, Busby and Brooks are giving back. Brooks is a staunch supporter of A Better Chicago – a nonprofit supporting other nonprofits to improve educational opportunities for low-income Chicagoans. She believes that “a well-rounded education should be available to every child.” Busby is involved with the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, which helps children who have experienced abuse – a cause she has championed for 15 years.
