The @properties Realtor boasts more than 15 years of experience in the industry, as well as “growing up in real estate.” With her talent for home improvement and understanding of what’s behind the paint, Lange credits her decision to pursue a real estate career to her father, who purchased and renovated properties throughout her childhood. Not only did he build the house in which she grew up, but he also taught her the value of hard work and imparted his knowledge of construction, lessons that continue to stand her in good stead today. “My father was and still is my mentor,” she says.

While her dad rehabbed houses, Lange’s mother decorated them. Watching and working with her parents inspired her to pursue college studies in advertising and design, both of which are integral to the industry. Selling throughout the city, her nest is in her neighborhood. With sales exceeding $30 million in Chicago’s Old Irving Park community, Lange has held the distinction of being the No. 1 individual agent in the area. In addition to regularly partnering with area sellers to market and list their homes, she herself lives in Old Irving Park and is actively engaged with its residents. In fact, she plays the role of the Easter bunny in the community’s annual egg hunt!

Because Old Irving Park is well known for its historic and vintage homes, Lange possesses an expert understanding of how best to market residences that are more than 100 years old to attract sellers who appreciate their enduring character and unique features. “I’m extremely proficient at preparing homes for sale,” she offers, adding that removing clutter, painting walls and appropriately staging them can sometimes prove a daunting task. Nevertheless, Lange approaches each sale with a commitment to hands-on involvement to ensure an outstanding list-to-sale price within the least number of days on the market possible.

“It takes a lot of knowledge to sell these kinds of homes,” Lange explains, but she finds that her reputation for excellence precedes her as evidenced by the volume of referrals she receives. Having studied at the Graduate Realtor Institute and earned designations such as Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Quality Service Certification, her main priority is providing her clients a great experience. “It’s sad to see neighbors leave, but it’s so important for buyers to be happy. Their long-term happiness is my motivation because they’ll be my neighbors and friends for years to come.”
