Isabel C. Diaz, broker/owner of RE/MAX Peak Performers at 4616 W. 103rd St. in Oak Lawn, was honored with the annual Humanitarian Award presented by RE/MAX Northern Illinois for outstanding philanthropic contributions to her community.

Diaz, a resident of Mokena, was honored for her continuing fund raising efforts on behalf of a number of organizations. Along with her efforts on behalf of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago and Habitat for Humanity, Diaz has worked to support several not-for profit organizations within the Latino community. They are El Hogar del Nino, which operates in Chicago’s Pilsen and Little Village communities, providing daycare services to women who are trying to re-enter the workforce; and Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos, which operates orphanages in Mexico and El Salvador.
