Having grown up in Rogers Park and Skokie, and having spent the last decade in Chicago’s South Loop before putting down roots in Northbrook, Faiyaz Noorani has logged real life across the very corridors he now helps clients navigate. That layered geography isn’t incidental; it’s the foundation of how he works.
Noorani’s path to real estate began with his father, a longtime investor whose buy-and-hold philosophy left a deep impression. After earning a double major in accounting and finance and spending more than a decade as a senior finance manager, Noorani made the jump into residential real estate six years ago. His investment mindset carries directly into client work. Whereas many agents focus on the transaction, Noorani thinks in terms of ROI, rental potential and long-term value.
He now works primarily with investors, as well as buyers and sellers, in downtown Chicago and the North Shore markets of Glenview, Northbrook and Highland Park, covering single-family homes, condos and multiunit properties. About 80% of his business is referral-based, a figure he credits less to marketing and more to candor. Noorani’s pre-listing consultations are grounded in honest valuations and realistic market-time projections, rather than inflated numbers designed to win a signature.
Among his proudest recent work is guiding several clients through their first investment purchase and walking them through the mechanics of building wealth through real estate, including tax advantages, mortgage paydown, rental cash flow and the flip model. Coldwell Banker Realty recognized Noorani with its International Sterling Society award for top-performing agents.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. He maintains a committed fitness routine and continues to have an eye toward expanding his rental portfolio.
