Through his successful early career in human resources consulting, Justin Lucas mastered the ins and outs of leadership development and helping professionals evolve into their specific roles. He also served as a talent-management consultant and vice president of learning and development for two different organizations: Deloitte and Northern Trust. Considering his prior work, it’s understandable that with just six years of field experience, Lucas has had a flawless transition into his new role. Upon the tragic loss of his older brother, he realized he wanted more passion in his career and life. “I made the decision to pursue real estate, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made,” he says.
Moving from Washington, D.C., to Chicago in 2008, Lucas does business all throughout the city. He works with residential clients and particularly enjoys assisting first-time homebuyers and seasoned investors. His experience honed his business acumen and ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals — skills that are noticed by his client base. Lucas tailors his strategy to each client’s individual needs. Known for being simultaneously high-achieving and approachable, he says his business is entirely referral-based and he often builds close friendships with his clients. “I’m grateful to have amazing clients,” he says. “I feel they appreciate everything I do for them.”
Markedly driven, Lucas recently obtained his license to operate in Southwest Michigan and has worked with a builder to secure exclusive listings on five lots to construct luxury homes. Over the past year, he’s most proud of the growth of his team — which he looks forward to expanding further. He also earned the Top Producer Award from the Chicago Association of REALTORS® for generating more than $18 million in sales in 2021.
If he’s not out touring homes with clients, Lucas is going to spend as much time as possible with them on Lake Michigan, leveraging his membership with the Freedom Boat Club.
