What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Before real estate, I worked in accounting. I loved the calm focus of my desk, met some amazing people and learned how to manage my finances early on — skills that gave me the confidence and foundation to make moves in real estate.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Chicago and raised in a small town in Michoacán, Mexico.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
Growing up, I wanted to be an attorney. I’ve always loved understanding people, solving problems and standing up for what’s right.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
When I’m stressed, I head outside on a walk, some fresh air, or a horseback ride always helps me clear my mind and reconnect, reset and recharge.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
It would be amazing to meet someone like Coco Chanel or a brilliant mind like Dr. Oliver Sacks — people who pushed boundaries in their fields and inspired others to see the world differently.
What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
This is a tricky one, but I’d say one of Chicago’s best kept secrets is how close it is to nature. Like peaceful lakefront trails, quiet parks and hidden green spaces right inside the city.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love real estate because it allows me to build genuine connections. Whether I’m helping families find their dream homes or collaborating with developers and investors on exciting projects, it’s fast-paced and can be stressful, but I enjoy every challenge and every success, all while having the flexibility to spend time with my loved ones.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I distinguish myself by truly connecting with my clients, understanding their goals, educating them, listening carefully and guiding them through every step of the process. I also bring experience working with developers and investors, which gives me a unique perspective on the market. Above all, I approach every transaction with dedication, integrity and a commitment to making the experience smooth, strategic and stress-free.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The most difficult part of real estate is navigating factors that are out of our control, like market shifts or affordability challenges. It can be tough when clients have to make hard decisions.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
The best advice for generating new leads is to build genuine relationships. Focus on providing value, staying connected with your network and showing people you truly care about their needs. Referrals and opportunities will naturally follow.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
One of my greatest accomplishments is helping clients achieve their dreams, whether it’s a family finding their perfect home or an investor closing a successful deal. On a personal level, I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built along the way with clients, developers and colleagues, and of creating a career that allows me to do work I love while spending time with my family. It’s that balance between making an impact and staying grounded that I value most.

It would have to be the time we had the seller’s pet parrot mimicking everything we said.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
People are often surprised to learn that I grew up in Michoacán, Mexico.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
The Caribbean and my home state of Michoacán. The weather is always perfect.
