2025 Who's Who in Chicagoland Real Estate

Rachel Perl, Licensed Managing Broker

Coldwell Banker North Shore

Rachel Perl helps buyers to envision properties they never imagined for themselves and sellers to show the best version of their homes without breaking the bank.

A licensed managing broker with Coldwell Banker North Shore, Perl has 26 years of experience in assisting buyers, sellers and developers in Chicago and on the North Shore. Her clients benefit from the knowledge she gained building her own real estate portfolio, which continues to outperform the market. “I started with a small investment and built a large real estate portfolio buying, renovating, renting and selling properties,” she says. “I have bought and sold homes in Illinois, Indiana and Mexico, always with my finger on the pulse of the economy.”

Perl worked in valuation at Coopers & Lybrand before applying the same skill set to real estate. She understands how to value real estate and determine the opportunities and risks associated with any purchase. “I help clients navigate a high-value investment with ease and certainty from beginning to end,” she says. “I also help them along the way to make smart investments in their purchase in terms of renovations and upgrades.”

Recently, a client wanted to purchase a home in the city after rents continued to escalate. She previewed several properties for three months, and when the client was finally ready to look, she knew of the ideal place. “While I told them they could see everything, I suggested going to the two that I had identified as the perfect location, and great pricing,” she recalls. “There was no need to see additional properties. The first one hit the mark. The client just moved in and is beyond happy!”

Raised in Wilmette, Perl lived on the Gold Coast, in Lincoln Park and in Bucktown before settling down in Northfield for the past 13 years. Her passions include tennis, art and caring for her three daughters.
