What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I am a single mom with three girls and 20 years of experience in corporate c-suite, a regional administration manager for McKinsey & Company.

Where did you grow up?
South Side of Chicago, Roseland.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to wear three-piece suits and do lots of paperwork. I switched often between school principal, architect, real estate broker and a pharmacist. I am grateful I can finally live my dreams and help others build wealth through real estate as a broker.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Travel (I just got back from Rome, and I hoping to get to Bali and Ireland in 2023), spa (I love Aire and Langham Spa) and spend time with my family.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I absolutely love Michelle Obama and Julia Roberts for different but similar reasons lol. They are both confident, beautiful and appear to be geniuely authentic.

What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
Beggars Pizza, Pullman neighborhood, Northerly Island, Lakeshore East Village.

What do you love most about the industry?
I love helping people build wealth, teaching them how to overcome obstacles and watching their dreams manifest as they build wealth through real estate.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am a highly skilled negotiator with a knack for people. It’s my second year in the industry, and I have helped more than 100 families build wealth through real estate. I know how to close and do so with professionalism, grace and integrity.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
There are a lot of moving parts and I am a workaholic. I get a thrill from helping people … and I am getting better at establishing boundaries and delegating so I can spend more time with my family.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Provide quality service and the referrals are the gift that keeps on giving. One customer has referred me more than eight deals and $3 million in closed sales revenue.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
I retired from corporate during the pandemic while starting over after a nasty divorce with three girls on my own. I got my real estate license and had my first sale in February 2021. My first year in real estate, I made six figures, closed more than 30 transactions, was voted Coldwell Banker South Region Rookie of the Year and was adopted into the International Sterling Society. In 2022, I set a personal goal to sell a home every week that I worked. That equated to 48 houses. and I hit that goal in September.

What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
I absolutely love Lou Malnati’s pizza, oysters from Lure Fishbar, lobster and bacon roll from Sunda and steak from Capital Grille.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Tribune building is one of my favorite spaces. It’s so massive and beautiful with backdrops of the city on either side. I also love a residential building that I use to live in, Harbor Pointe. It has some of the best views in the city, and it’s the eptimote of affordability, views and a unique building full of character.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I’ve been to 37 countries and 46 of the 50 states. I absoluletly love to travel, and my daughters have been to at least 20 countries and most of U.S. as well.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Learn all you can before you work with clients. Once you get them, keep them with good service.
