Kimberly Broznowski Powers, Real Estate Broker

After 25 years selling real estate, Kim Powers strives to provide a one-stop shop where clients can benefit from her skills and experience to buy or sell a home. Her extensive network of professionals includes contractors, lenders, attorneys, inspectors, vendors and estate planners.

For the last couple of years, the Arlington Heights native has applied her one-stop-shop approach for families and estate executors who need to prepare an estate for sale. “I facilitate the estate sale itself, donations, clearing out remaining items, working with the family members to manage their expectations, and, of course, the sale of the home,” Powers says. Additionally, she’s a certified Military Relocation Professional.

With a marketing mix that includes social media, a chamber of commerce membership, a Top Agent Network membership and community sponsorships, Powers says her experience more than anything else is what sets her apart. When the sale of a client’s house fell through, jeopardizing the purchase of their dream home, Powers recalls, “I was able to not only sell their home again for a higher price with a lease back, but I convinced the sellers of their new home not to cancel the deal even though my clients had a contingency. Only an experienced agent could convince a seller to agree to a contingency in a market as wild as this one.”

Her kpowershomes team works closely together yet independently. “I am lucky enough to have my mom, Linda Broznowski, who works primarily in Southwest Florida; a broker and contractor, Jeff Hayes, who works throughout Chicagoland; and a wonderful assistant, Amanda Antell, who helps keep me organized and on top of everything,” Powers says.

The PTA vice president plays pickleball and enjoys watching her three children compete in travel sports. Like any true sports mom, she has been known to take a business call or two during games.
