by Emily Mack

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago has announced the internal promotions of Debbie Tapper and Luke Mutter, who will take on the roles of director of relocations and director of business development, respectively.

A longtime BHHS Chicago employee, Tapper served as co-director of the company’s people and culture department and as the director of administration prior to her new position. As the director of relocations, she will oversee relocation, broker-to-broker referrals and eLeads for the firm and will be based out of the company’s Michigan Avenue office.

“[Tapper] has been an integral part of our company for many years and has played an active role in its transformation to the company it is today,” BHHS Chicago CEO Diane Glass said in a press release. “As director of relocation, she will continue that path using her exceptional skills to identify opportunities that will generate business for our agents as well as the firm.”

Like Tapper, Mutter has been with BHHS Chicago for a number of years. He served as assistant manager for the Lake Forest office, then for the Libertyville office, before his taking on his current position as the Libertyville managing broker. In his new role as the director of business development, Mutter will manage relationships with corporate and third-party companies as well as expand the company’s product portfolio which includes products like its new iBuyer, QuickBuy®.

“Luke is a natural leader and has had a terrific impact on our company,” Glass said in another statement. “As an agent, Luke was very innovative in promoting listings and has shared that enthusiasm and know-how with agents as their manager. We know he will employ that same enthusiasm and innovation in the role of director of business development.”
